When it comes to features, they are following March release of group cache functionality for the service’s Content Search Web Past (CSWP) that speeds up page’s loading times.

There are lots of users, who are browsing a SharePoint website rather than displaying static content stated, so CSWP have generated query-based pages. Mark Kashman, a senior product manager for Microsoft SharePoint, explained that one can easily both the number of items, which are shown in the CSWP by configuring the query.

Moreover, Microsoft has expanded SharePoint online’s abilities by borrowing two major features from SharePoint Server 2013.

The new TRPWP is like SharePoint’s Refinement Web Part (RWP) and they both filter content on a given page. Microsoft’s SharePoint team informed, “But the TRPWP differs from the RWP in two ways: the filters it uses are the categories from the site's navigation, and it can display category-specific editorial content”.

Recently, the company also explained in a mockup that how SharePoint website managers at Contoso can develop websites, which display advisors or other editorial content on the category pages. It also shows navigational aids, which will be helpful for users zero in on the information.

While another best feature that known as faceted navigation enables users to use category-specific filters to narrow down the content. A feature, which would be quite familiar to Web shoppers, updates a page’s content when they check off selected filters.

The company also said, "Even though different filters are shown for different categories, content managers do not have to create and maintain one unique page for each category”.

However, the TRPWP and its faceted navigation are obtainable for below mentioned plans:
  • Office 365 Enterprise E3 and E4
